My Role:

Game UX Design & Prototyping

The game story draws inspiration from Mayan mythology. It is suitable for all ages who want to have fun while doing their part to tackle Climate Change. As a UX Designer and Developer my role was to:-

  • Develop the game prototype in Unity 3D for pitching in GDC 2023.

  • Ensure that players can easily understand the game narrative as this game was heavily dependent on the story.

  • Make the game interface more intuitive and attractive. Challenge was to blend the game UI elements with the procedural animated background.

  • Ensure that players feel a sense of progression and accomplishment as they move through the game.
Subtle and real-time changes in the background visuals and music according to the game progress helped to improve the game immersion.

  • Introducing and using the haptics for better affordance and immersion in the gameplay.

The main objective is to rewild damaged habitats in each ecosystem, accomplished when the player reaches the target number of each task.

For example, in this Misty Marshland habitat the player must clear the patches of toxic water by collecting a certain number of plants with purifying qualities.
